Schwartz Media is looking for a new contributing editor for The Monthly Today, to present the day’s political news with sharp analysis.

The successful candidate will have a strong voice and a proven ability to read the news cycle. They will write a daily column responding to the most significant news in Australian politics – on what it means and why it matters – as well as bring together stories from various sources to provide a quick-sketch overview of the day.

The successful candidate will deliver copy that is clean and insightful. They will be driven, self-motivated and able to work independently. They must have a solid grounding in contemporary Australian politics.

Experience with Campaign Monitor is useful but not vital.

This is a permanent part-time position (0.5 FTE). The job starts in February.
