Schwartz Media is seeking a producer to join the expanding team of 7am, our daily news podcast. The successful candidate will have a deep love of audio storytelling, a sophisticated relationship with the news, a strong sense of narrative, and a spirit of innovation and excellence. A level of comfort working calmly and creatively to meet daily deadlines is a must. Experience in Pro Tools is desired.

The producer would:

  • Help our team produce high-quality daily audio stories to tight deadlines. This includes participating in story planning, studio producing, cutting tape and editing episodes to completion.
  • Contribute to the editorial direction and planning of 7am stories, with a demonstrated understanding of the news environment.
  • Be open to field producing where required, gathering necessary tape and structuring reporting into long-form podcast episodes.
  • Add to the capacity for innovation in audio storytelling.
